Whitney Cerak

We, the Cerak family, are elated beyond description at Whitney’s return home. It is so much more than we ever imagined three months ago.We would like to restate our plans of not speaking to the media. There is still much on the road to Whitney’s full recovery. We want to thank the media for the respect they have shown of our privacy in this time. And ask that the same courtesy given us would be extended to our family and friends.

Psalms 26:2 Test me, O Lord, and try me, examine my; heart and mind.

Psalms 139:23 Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts.

Tests, tests, tests, Whitney took another 2 1/2 hours of tests this morning. She is being such a trooper, not complaining but knowing that these tests are given for a reason and the results are important and will show the areas of strength and areas of deficit.

Her independent lunch of pizza rolls went off without a hitch and was enjoyed by all. Her afternoon therapies were fine except she didn't enjoy the bucket of ice she had to soak her swollen ankle in and the deep muscle massage also was painful.

We had a great dinner with some friends and ended the evening laying on the bed,leg elevated, trying to decide who would make it to the next week on "So you think you can dance".

Whitney has been going through lots of tests - physical and mental to see where she is at, what she needs to work on and her future plans. I want to close with a couple of verses for the tests we all go through every day of our lives. The results of our tests determine our future and God's love, strength and wisdom are yours to help you through whatever test you are going through.

James 1:12 Blessed is the man who perserveres under trial, because when he has stood the test, he will recieve the crown of life, that God has promised to those who love him.

1 Thessalonians 5:21-24,28 Test everything. Hold on to the good. Avoid every kind of evil. May God himself, the God of peace, sanctify you through and through. May your whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. The one who calls you is faithful and he will do it. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.

With love,
Whitney's mom

Thank you so much for encouraging us! What an amazing woman you are!

We will continue to pray for Whitney's healing. God will restore her in His perfect timing.
I am also keeping your family in my prayers as you persevere through this time.

I hope the families of the 5 Chosen know how much we all love them and pray for them each day. I hope they know that their loved ones are deeply missed by everyone who knew them, and even those of us who did not.

Praise God for Whitney's life, and her loving family!

I wanted you all to know that every morning when I get here to work, I sit down at my desk, turn on my computer, and go to the short-cut to Whitney's blog. I rejoice with each and every small and large victory that she achieves. Please know that there are those of us out here who need your testimony, who need to read the verses you choose each day. Thank you for sharing your lives with us.
A grateful Taylor past parent.

Don't stop. Don't stop posting Scriptures, because every day you speak deep into my heart and encourage me. To me, that one of the amazing things about God. You are encouraged in the midst of these medical and physical struggles, and I am encouraged in the midst of my struggles that are so far removed and have nothing in common with Whitney--but same passages apply to both of us, and a whole host of people around the world. Love always!

Keep up the great work! You are a living reminder of my favorite verse: 'I can do ALL things though Him who strengthens me.' Philippians 4:13. You are amazing!

As I read this blog I am reminded of the "city on a hill", or "lamp on a stand". Continue to let your light shine for all to see!

All involved remain in my prayers.

Hi there, thank you very much for keeping this blog updated, it is so good to hear about Whitney's progress & how God is continuing to support, love and protect your family. I went to Gaylord a few weeks ago to visit some family & saw the greeting to Whitney on the billboard @ the movie theater... it was then that I found out that my cousin is a friend of Whitney's. She is lucky to have such a strong support system. God bless!

To the Mom in Leo, IN:
I would like to know your name, I used to attend Grabill Missionary Church and lost a son, Paul Ovitt who was very active in the Youth Group. Actually, he is buried in Leo Cemetery and I still have warm heartstrings for that area.
